Ahead of Border 2, Varun Dhawan Clarifies About Upcoming Releases, Shuts Down Rumours Of Luka Chuppi 2
Varun Dhawan marks a significant curve in his filmography with the upcoming film, Border 2. Ahead of its grand release on 23rd January, the actor held a candid #Varunsays on X (formerly Twitter) and expressed his desire to star in a sci-fi mythological film.

In addition to this, the actor also revealed that he has not signed any film, nor a sequel of any kind, clearing the air surrounding his involvement in Luka Chuppi 2.
When asked about the genre he’d like to be a part of next, one that’s been rarely tapped upon in Bollywood, Varun simply shared that he’d like to be a part of a sci-fi mythological film.

The actor went on to clear the air surrounding his involvement in Luka Chuppi 2. When asked about his next after Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Varun shared that he hasn’t signed any film. He cleared, “There is no sequel of any other film I’m doing. Will decide.”

But he also gave his fans something to be excited about without revealing much! “Kuch nahi sign kiya lekin busy bahut hoon,” he shared.

Meanwhile, Varun will be seen stepping into the shoes of Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya PVC in Border 2, and will share the screen space with Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty among others. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is scheduled to release in theatres on 23rd January.
In addition to this, the actor also has Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai in the pipeline, a much-awaited rom-com which sees him alongside Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur. Directed by David Dhawan, the film releases in theatres on 5th June, 2026.
