The film opened well on Friday and showed solid growth over the weekend, peaking on Monday (Republic Day holiday) with a massive ₹63.59 crore haul. As expected, collections dipped post-holiday, but the hold during weekdays remains respectable for a big-scale patriotic drama.
With this performance, Border 2 now marks Varun Dhawan’s highest-ever Week 1 collection and becomes the second-highest opening week of Sunny Deol’s career, just behind Gadar 2 which had collected ₹284.63 crore.
