The breakout star of 2025, who made a phenomenal debut with Saiyaara, didn’t wake up one day and decide, “Okay, actor it is.” Nope. Ahaan tried on multiple hats before finding the one that truly fit.
Fun fact. His first love was writing. As a child, he wrote an entire book in third grade, with help from his grandmother, who guided him through compiling and editing it. Storytelling was always there, quietly waiting.
Before acting came calling, Ahaan explored some seriously cool career paths. Talking to Grazia India, he recalled,

“At sixteen, I tried DJing and then music production followed. I had a group called Bass Trap and we released tracks under it. Then came video game design. Later, I started assisting on film sets since that passion for storytelling was always hidden beneath everything else. I observed everything quietly at sets. Post that, I also gave my first film audition and that’s where I got a taste of theatre and what performing in front of a proper crowd felt like. It’s here I decided to stick to this one thing.”

Did You Know Ahaan Panday Has Worked As An Assistant Director?
Before stepping into the spotlight, Ahaan also worked behind the camera as an assistant director to truly understand filmmaking. He assisted on Rock On 2, Freaky Ali, and later on the web series The Railway Men. Basically, he did the homework before acing the exam.
