Rajpal Yadav Back From Jail, Next Film – Welcome to the Jungle
After a tough couple of weeks, Rajpal Yadav is officially back where he belongs. On a film set, smiling, joking, and doing what he does best. The actor recently returned to work after a brief jail stint linked to a cheque bounce case, and his comeback story is quite heartwarming!
Why Was Rajpal Yadav In Jail
The issue goes back to a loan taken for his 2010 film Ata Pata Laapata. Rajpal reportedly borrowed ₹5 crore, which later ballooned into a ₹9 crore liability. When cheques linked to the repayment bounced, things escalated legally, landing him in jail.

The Delhi High Court stepped in and granted him interim bail on February 16. His sentence has been suspended till March 18, especially after ₹1.5 crore was deposited in the complainant’s bank account. That deposit played a major role in strengthening his bail plea.
By February 23, Rajpal was back in Mumbai and straight back on the sets of Welcome to the Jungle. He even shared a happy glimpse from his vanity van, all relieved and grateful.
Talking about his return, he said, “Everyone has given me a lot of love. It feels great to be back on set.”
He added that the cast welcomed him warmly and confirmed no continuity issues. Keeping things light, he joked, “It was merely 13 days. People take longer breaks than that.”

During this tough phase, support poured in. Sonu Sood and politician Tej Pratap Yadav offered monetary help, while Guru Randhawa signed him for a music video. Big names like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Varun Dhawan also reportedly stood by him.
Rajpal Yadav is currently out on interim bail, and the case is still sub judice. But Rajpal is back at work, back in form, and hustling hard to make his comeback.
