Rumours recently started doing the rounds that Kiara Advani might be stepping into the shoes of late legendary actress Madhubala for an upcoming biopic. Naturally, the internet went into a full tizzy. After all, portraying one of Indian cinema’s most iconic stars is no small deal!

According to the reports, Kiara had reportedly been finalised for the lead role in a film based on Madhubala’s life. The reports also claimed that acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali would come on board as the producer. It was being said that Jasmeet K. Reen, known for directing Darlings, would helm the project.
With such big names attached, the gossip quickly picked up momentum online. Fans began imagining what Kiara might look like as Madhubala and whether the project could become the next big Bollywood biopic. Some argued Kiara was not the right fit for the role.
However, the news is not quite true. As per a latest report by Hindustan Times, an industry source has dismissed the claims entirely. The source stated –
“There is absolutely no truth to the reports currently circulating about Kiara Advani being cast in a Madhubala biopic produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The claims are completely baseless and speculative.”
So for now, the supposed casting remains just another Bollywood rumour.
