Bigg Boss 16 heartthrob and 1st runner-up Shiv Thakare recently opened up on the dark side of the glamour world.
It appears even Shiv has had a brush with the ugly casting couch situation. Thakare, who hails from Amravati, had a rude reality check when he came to Mumbai.
While talking to Hindustan Times, he said that it was after coming to Mumbai that he realised that not just girls but guys too have to be wary of the casting couch.
He spilt the beans on his own experience – he was summoned at 11 in the night by a ‘woman from Four Bungalows’ who’d boast that she had made a lot of careers. Shiv turned down her advances but she still tried to manipulate him, saying he wouldn’t get work in the industry!
Shiv commented – “She was calling me for an audition at 11 in the night. Itna bhola toh nahi hoon main ki (I’m not that innocent that) I won’t understand what auditions happen at night. So, I told her that I have some work and I cannot make it. To this, she said, ‘Kaam nahi karna? (Don’t you want to work?)’ ‘You won’t get work in the industry’ and other such things. So they would demotivate you and manipulate you. But I would never get bothered by it.“
