The movie is enjoying a lot of attention and as per reports, in just 5 days, the film is nearing the Rs 250 crore mark worldwide. As per early estimates, the film has collected Rs 11 crore (net) in India on day 5.
For the unversed, Ponniyin Selvan is an adaptation of the popular Tamil novel of the same name, written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The film, which was made in two parts, was written by Jeyamohan. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, and Karthi play lead roles in this epic.
