Salaar movie starring Prabhas in the lead has cracked a mega-crore deal for its non-theatrical rights!
As per reports, Salaar has raked in a whopping amount of Rs 350 crores for its satellite, digital and also audio rights.
Salaar Non-theatrical Rights:
As per Bollywood Hungama, the satellite rights of Salaar in all 5 languages – Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, have been sold to Star TV. As for the OTT rights – they have been snatched up by Netflix for all 5 languages.
“Though it’s not known how much Star TV and Netflix paid individually, it is learnt that Salaar’s makers have earned a whopping Rs. 350 crores through the sale of their satellite, digital and also audio rights,” a source revealed.
Release Date Postponed?
This Prabhas actioner was scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 28 September 2023 but the makers have announced that it has been postponed. Reports suggest that it may arrive in November now.
An official statement from Hombale Films read – “We deeply appreciate your unwavering support for #Salaar. With consideration, we must delay the original September 28 release due to unforeseen circumstances.

Directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, Salaar stars Prabhas as the titular character along with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju.
