Directed by Soumendra Padhi, Farrey marks the debut of Salman Khan’s niece Alizeh Agnihotri.
Farrey Day 1 Collection –
As per reports, Farrey has only managed to rake in a collection of 50 LAKHS on its opening day. Her uncle Salman Khan’s film Tiger 3, on the other hand, completed 13 days at the box office and on day 13 it scored a 3.5 crore collection.
The film has mostly garnered a positive word-of-mouth response. It has until next Friday to make an impact, because after that Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur will be giving it tough competition.
Alizeh Agnihotri Debut Film
Alizeh Agnihotri has been receiving positive reviews for her debut performance – as she has come across as a confident, natural performer in her very 1st role. This film also stars Class star Zeyn Shaw, Sahil Mehta and Prasanna Bisht.
Synopsis:
After gaining admission into an elite school on scholarship, an orphan genius becomes entangled in a cheating racket when some of her rich friends lure her into helping them.
Farrey Review
This film has a solid premise, and barring a few filler and generic tracks, it manages to keep you invested in the 1st half. The pacing is even until the 2nd half and that’s where the film starts to falter a little bit.
A few sequences seem utterly far-fetched and ludicrous and the ending feels rushed, abrupt and unresolved. The problem lies in the writing of the 2nd half – it simply appears too exaggerated and improbable.
Overall though while this Alizeh Agnihotri starrer may have stumbled in the 2nd half, its strong point is the promising young cast which do deserve the accolades for their refreshing performances!
