#1 Award Galore
Tabu has won the National Film Award for Best Actress twice, one for Maachis and another one for Chandni Bar. She also holds the record for the most Best Actress (critics) wins at Filmfare, with four.
Tabu was also bestowed with the Padma Shri in 2011 for her contribution to indian cinema.
#2 Controversy
In 1998, Tabu was charged with poaching two blackbucks in Kankani during the shoot of Hum Saath Saath Hain. She was charged along with co-stars Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karishma Kapoor, Sonali Bendre and Neelam Kothari.
#3 Bollywood Connection
Tabu is the neice of Shabana Azmi. Shabana Azmi is Tabu’s father, Jamal Hashmi’s sister.
#4 Debut movie
Tabu’s first Hindi film was supposed to be ‘Prem’, opposite Sanjay Kapoor. However, the movie took 8 years in the making and eventually turned out to be a flop.
#5 Personal Life
Tabu has been in serious relationships with Sanjay Kapoor, Sajid Nadiadwala and south star, Nagarjuna in the past. However, now she is single.
