A video of actor Babil Khan breaking down and calling Bollywood “fake” has gone viral — and it’s got everyone talking. But as the clip made waves online, many jumped to conclusions about what he really meant.

Now, Babil’s friends and fellow actors have stepped in to show their support and set the record straight.
Soon after the video went public, Babil’s team released an official statement explaining that he was having a tough day and that his words were taken out of context. They clarified that Babil wasn’t slamming any of the celebs that he had named, in fact, he was trying to praise his peers for their meaningful work in cinema.
One of the first to rally behind him was Raghav Juyal, who didn’t just post the official statement but also shared some sweet throwback pictures with Babil on Instagram. His caption said it all:
“BABİL is my family and I am always with him no matter what.”
Ananya Panday also kept it short and heartfelt, sharing,
“Only love and good energy for you Babil, always in your corner.”

Meanwhile, Siddhant Chaturvedi took a strong stand with a message that called out the gossip and judgment flying around.
“I usually never engage in s* written about me and my colleagues, but this one’s personal. So to all the Redditors, Gossip columns, and media portals of the internet. Stop. We love to hate and hate to love, is this what we’ve come to? Stop looking for drama here. All of us are working hard to bring drama to you on your screens.”
He didn’t stop there. Siddhant continued with a powerful reminder:
“Shayad wahan thodi kami reh gai hogi ki aap hamari neeji zindagi mein wo dhoondhne lage ho? Koshish jaari hai hamari taraf se, aur aap bhi koshish karein ki koi bhi judgment dene se pehle ek baar soch lein. Peace out.”
Babil Khan Controversy; He Said His Video Was Misinterpreted
Finally, Babil himself took to Instagram to explain his side. He said:
“The video was extremely misinterpreted, I was trying to show support to Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, Raghav Juyal and Arijit Singh. I genuinely don’t have the energy to indulge more but I do this as responsibility for my peers that I truly admire.”
It’s clear that behind the noise and confusion, there’s a strong circle of friends who’ve got each other’s backs. And at the end of the day, maybe that’s what really matters.
Adarsh Gourav also put an Instagram story saying – “Only love and support for you brother”.
