EXCLUSIVE: “This Is Not The Age To Fight With Kids” – Says Govinda’s Wife Sunita When Asked If Bond With Krushna Abhishek Was Rocky!
There was a time when Bollywood star Govinda and his nephew, comedian Krushna Abhishek, shared a cold and silent equation. For years, their relationship was strained. But now, it looks like the rocky path between the two has smoothened out.
EXCLUSIVE: No Matter What He’s Like, I Raised Krushna Like My Own – Says Govinda’s Wife Sunita
In an exclusive conversation with Instant Bollywood, Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja opened up about the current status of their bond with Krushna and his sister, Aarti Singh. When asked if the relationship with Krushna was still rocky, Sunita replied with calm honesty.
“I’ll tell you one thing — that matter is very old now. Govinda talks to him now. I talk to Aarti too. And Krushna — no matter what he’s like, I raised him like my own. He lived with us as a kid. Now, I have no issues with him. I pray for everyone to be happy.”

That’s not all. Sunita also revealed that while she didn’t attend Aarti’s wedding, she is in touch with her.
“I’m talking to Aarti. I didn’t go for her wedding, but I do talk to her. I have no fights with anyone anymore. I’m tired of all this now. This is not the age to fight with kids. God bless them, God bless everybody.”
For those unfamiliar with what caused the rift, it all started years ago with a joke Krushna cracked during a comedy act. He had said, “Maine Govinda ko apna mama rakha hai” (I have kept Govinda as my uncle). Govinda took offense to this and reportedly felt Krushna was gaining fame by mocking him. Since then, tensions grew and both families drifted apart.
However, time seems to have healed those wounds. When asked whether she watches Krushna’s comedy now, Sunita smiled and explained why she doesn’t really catch them.
“I sleep by 9:30. I don’t get time. Honestly, I don’t even watch TV. I watch Netflix or OTT only during the day when I sit down. I’m not a TV person. I watch Hanumanji’s show at 7:30, then spend time with my dogs, and by 9:30 I go to sleep.”
