Deepika Padukone has made history as the first Indian woman to receive a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame.
However, once selected, the honouree or their sponsor is required to pay a fee to cover the costs related to the creation, installation, and maintenance of the star.

This sponsorship fee is currently set at $85,000 (approximately ₹73 lakh), which helps maintain the famed boulevard and ensures its legacy endures.
This amount may vary over time and is updated on the official Hollywood Walk of Fame website.
Located on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, the Hollywood Walk of Fame is a renowned landmark featuring more than 2,700 stars that celebrate influential personalities across various entertainment fields.

The Walk of Fame recognises excellence across five categories—live theatre, radio, music, television, and film. Each year, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which oversees the initiative, receives between 200 to 300 nominations, out of which only a select few are chosen for induction.
Deepika Padukone has been named among the inductees for the Walk of Fame Class of 2026. Globally recognised for her role in XXX: The Return of Xander Cage, she joins an impressive list of honorees including Emily Blunt, Timothée Chalamet, Marion Cotillard, Stanley Tucci, Rami Malek, Rachel McAdams, Demi Moore, Chris Columbus, Tony Scott, Greg Daniels, and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
This honour represents a major milestone in Deepika’s career and a proud moment for Indian representation on the global entertainment stage.
