EXCLUSIVE: Nimrat Kaur Talks About Her Iconic Cadbury Ad
“that Cadbury ad was actually shot after The Lunchbox,” Nimrat said, laughing. “Before that, I did so many commercials, around 100, maybe. That’s how I earned money to stay in Bombay.”
For those wondering, Nimrat didn’t start off as a film star. Her first-ever appearance on camera was in a music video. “The first time I ever faced the camera was in Tera Mera Pyar, those music videos. People still remember me as the Tera Mera Pyar girl,” she added.

It Was Actually Shot AFTER The Lunchbox, Reveals Nimrat Kaur
But it was the Cadbury ad that really stuck in people’s memories. Ironically, most fans assume it came before her big movie break, not after.
“What happened was, after Lunchbox, I shot the Cadbury ad. Now, timeline-wise, things can seem reversed. But that’s what it was.”
The ad may have looked like a chocolate lover’s dream, but shooting it came with some unexpected challenges. Nimrat, being a real-life chocolate fan, was all in at first. “I loved chocolates and had so many of them. But after 25 to 30 takes, I had to start spitting them out,” she revealed with a grin.
From scarfing down chocolates on set to winning hearts with a smile, Nimrat’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Whether you remember her from that iconic Cadbury ad or her quiet realness in The Lunchbox, one thing is clear – Nimrat Kaur knows how to make a lasting impression.
And honestly, now we kind of want chocolate.
