Sonu Sood, is practically known as the ‘Migrants Ka Messiah’, lauded for his philanthropic work during the Covid-19 lockdown.
In the backdrop of the farmer’s protests, it has been announced that Sonu will play the lead in the upcoming movie – ‘Kisaan’.
The news was announced by trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The project is being bankrolled by Ayushmann Khurrana’s “Dream Girl” director Raaj Shaandilyaa, and will be directed by E Niwas.
As of now, it’s unclear if the film is related to the ongoing protests or not. The full cast of the movie is also yet to be announced.
Amitabh Bachchan also took to Twitter to promote the film.
Sonu Sood can be seen expressing his support to the farmers with tweets like – “किसान का दर्ज़ा माँ बाप से कम नहीं है।” (A farmer’s status is no less than that of a parent)
“किसान है हिंदुस्तान।” (Farmer is India)
