Day 1 (Thursday) opened with a smashing ₹52.5 crore. Friday upped the game with ₹57.5 crore, riding high on the holiday buzz. Saturday saw a dip but still delivered a solid ₹34 crore, followed by ₹32 crore on Sunday. That brings the total extended first weekend to a jaw-dropping ₹176 crore nett in India. Now the real question is, will War 2 keep up this pace once the weekday test kicks in? Monday will be the big decider. After all, the film has been made on a massive ₹300–400 crore budget, so consistency is key.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 combines slick action, star power, and two superstars locking horns.
In the YRF Spy Universe scoreboard, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan still wears the crown of being the biggest opener with a mind-blowing ₹57 crore opening collection (₹55 crore from Hindi itself).

War 2 Storyline:
Major Kabir Dhaliwal (Hrithik Roshan), once India’s top intelligence agent and now a man on the run, makes a shocking move by killing Colonel Luthra (Ashutosh Rana).
The new RAW Chief (Anil Kapoor), wastes no time in assigning Major Vikram (Jr NTR) to take Kabir down.
But this mission comes with complications. Luthra’s daughter, Commander Kavya (Kiara Advani), is roped in too – and she’s not just any soldier; she’s Kabir’s ex. Awkward much?
Vikram, on the other hand, isn’t just another action hero in the chase. He shares a mysterious, deeply personal past with Kabir, the kind that makes you question whose side he’s really on. Meanwhile, Kabir’s not just dodging bullets; he’s playing a bigger, deadlier game of his own.
