1. One of the Longest Hindi Films Ever
Dhurandhar created history by becoming the longest Hindi film in 17 years. With a massive runtime of 3 hours and 34 minutes, it joined the elite league of epics like Jodhaa Akbar and LOC Kargil.
2. Four Years In The Making
Director Aditya Dhar spent nearly four years crafting the screenplay and building the gritty, immersive world of Dhurandhar. The detailed character arcs and layered political backdrop are a direct result of this long development phase.
3. Ranveer Singh’s Extreme Physical Transformation
Ranveer Singh went all in for the role. He initially gained 15 kgs and later shed the weight to portray different phases of his character’s life as Hamza and Jaskirat.

4. Tamannaah Bhatia And The Shararat Song Twist
Interestingly, Tamannaah Bhatia was initially envisioned for the song Shararat. Choreographer Vijay Ganguly revealed her name came up early on. However, Aditya Dhar chose not to cast a single big star to avoid distracting from the story. Instead, Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’Souza featured in the sequence, which went on to become a chartbuster.
5. 1,300 Auditions For One Role
The makers conducted over 1,300 auditions before finalising Sara Arjun as Yalina Jamali, opposite Ranveer Singh. Sara won hearts as the fresh-faced beauty.
6. Akshaye Khanna Was Not The First Choice
Akshaye Khanna wasn’t the original pick for Rehman Dakait. The role was initially offered to Telugu superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni, who had to step away due to date issues. Akshaye eventually stepped in and made the role iconic.
7. The Pain Behind Viral FA9LA Dance
While shooting the song FA9LA in Ladakh, Akshaye Khanna faced severe breathing issues due to low oxygen levels. He carried a small oxygen cylinder and used a mask after every take. Despite the harsh conditions, he completed the high-energy, viral dance sequence without complaint.
