Shahid Kapoor is all set to make his OTT debut with an Amazon Prime web series.
The Kabir Singh actor is collaborating with ‘The Family Man’ makers – Raj and DK – for the upcoming project.
As learned by Peeping Moon, this action-thriller web series has been titled ‘Sunny’ and the shooting schedule will be kickstarting soon in Goa. Shahid took to Insta sharing a fun selfie with the director duo to announce the good news- “It’s taking off… These bad boys got a hard vibe and a dark plan… @rajanddk.”
“Raj & DK’s show with Shahid has been titled Sunny. It’s an explosive action-thriller with their usual quirks infused in it. Planned as a two-season project, this series will see Shahid in the titular role, performing some acutely designed daredevil action sequences. He is excited to dive into the quirk world of Raj & DK and will fly off to Goa today to join them,” a source told to Peeping Moon.
Popular actors from the South have also been roped in to lend the show a pan-India appeal. Vijay Sethupathi will be essaying the antagonist while Raashi Khanna has reportedly been cast as the female lead.
Apart from his digital debut, Shahid Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming sports drama Jersey which a Hindi remake of 2019 Telugu blockbuster of the same name. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur. It will hit the big screen on November 5, 2021.
