The Munna Bhai actor was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
In October, last year, the actor announced that he had been cured.
Sanjay Dutt’s producer-friend Rahul Mittra confirmed to ETimes that Sanjay’s latest MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and PET (positron emission tomography) scans reveal that he is now cancer-free.
Sanjay Dutt has worked with Rahul in two films, ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3’ and ‘Torbaaz’.
Meanwhile, yesterday, on the occasion of World Cancer Day, the ‘Khalnayak’ actor was announced as the Global Champion for Cancer Care.
Sharing a video, Sanjay wrote, “I’m honored to be the Global Champion for Cancer Care The Defeat-NCD Partnership & UNITAR and contribute to such a good cause.”
On the work front, Sanjay will next be seen in ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ and ‘Shamshera’.
