After Paatal Lok on Amazon Prime Video, Anushka Sharma has one more OTT offering in the pipeline! Her production company, Clean Slate Films, is all set to release their horror film ‘Bulbbul’ on Netflix today. It stars Avinash Tiwary, Tripti Dimri, Paoli Dam and Rahul Bose in the lead roles.
Anushka describes Bulbbul as a ‘fantastic tale about self-discovery, and justice, wrapped in lore, mystery and intrigue’, with the motion poster on Instagram.
Set in Kolkata, Bulbbul is a supernatural period drama revolving around age old superstitions and beliefs.
It will revolve around ‘Satya’ who returns from England after many years to find out his brother’s ‘child bride’ has been abandoned. His village has been plagued with stories of mysterious deaths and haunted by a woman living in trees. The story is essentially about a man trying to save the village from a witch!
