Actress Deepika Padukone gave not one or two but three blockbuster movies with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
The director-actress duo worked together in ‘Ram Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’, and ‘Padmaavat’.
Did you guys know not Deepika but another actress was the first choice for SLB’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ & ‘Padmaavat’? Yes, you heard this right!
Both these movies reportedly went to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan first. Back in 2018, during a candid interview with SpotboyE, Aishwarya confessed it and also said that SLB couldn’t find the apt actor to cast opposite her.
“He didn’t get the Bajirao for me. He wanted me to do Padmaavat, but could not get the Khilji for me, at the casting time. So, that’s how it didn’t happen,” she revealed.
According to several reports, Bhansali supposedly wanted to do ‘Bajirao Mastani’ with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan & Salman Khan, but it couldn’t happen after their ugly break-up.
Later, the project went to Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh.
Aishwarya had previously worked with Bhansali in ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ & ‘Devdas’, both the movies were huge blockbusters.
