According to reports, director Subhash Kapoor had offered the movie to superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
During an interview, Subhash had revealed that SRK was quite interested in the movie and was keen to play the role of a lawyer for the first time on the silver screen. However, the actor had to reject ‘Jolly LLB’ as he was busy with ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan‘ and ‘Chennai Express‘.
After Shahrukh Khan rejected the role, Subhash offered the role to Arshad Warsi and he took up the project which ended up being a huge success.
