Riteish Deshmukh freaked us all out with his creepy act in ‘Ek Villain’, didn’t he?
Now the sequel – ‘Ek Villain Returns’ will allegedly feature the female characters as villains too.
The ensemble star cast includes – John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria. The sequel too is helmed by Mohit Suri.
Suri had previously told Indian Express– “In this film, the girls are also playing villains. Me and Ekta are trying to build on a whole series of villains and different characters, who are all connected to each other.”
Ek Villain Returns was earlier going to hit the theatres on 11th February 2022. However, now the schedule has changed – it will be an Eid offering, arriving in cinemas on 8th July 2022.
Fun fact, Aditya Roy Kapur was supposed to headline the project along with John Abraham but he walked out of the project over creative differences. And Arjun Kapoor stepped into his shoes for the sequel.
