It was reported that the lovebirds would tie the knot in December 2021 at an exotic location.
It was speculated that they had allegedly taken a one-and-half month break from work to prepare for the upcoming nuptials.
In a candid chat with Bollywood Life for promoting her upcoming Netflix series, Call My Agent, Alia’s mom Soni Razdan also addressed these alleged wedding rumours.
“Even I don’t know when it’ll (the wedding) happen. Even I’m waiting for some information. Well, there’s a lot of time left. It’ll happen some time in the future, and that’s a long way off. Now, when it’ll happen, I don’t know. Maybe, you’ll have to call Alia’s agent for that (a jovial reference to the web series she’s done), but even her agent might not know,” Soni said.
It was previously reported that Alia hasn’t taken on any more work for now, while Ranbir has postponed his movie Animal to 2022.
