Nushrat Bharucha’s next ‘Chhorii’ is the Hindi remake of the 2017 Marathi horror film ‘Lapachhapi’.
It’s directed by Vishal Furia, who helmed the original as well. Mita Vashisht, Rajesh Jais and Saurabh Goyal too feature prominently in this horror flick.
Nushrat plays an 8-month pregnant woman Sakshi, who is forced to go into hiding with her husband Hemant. The house they’re seeking refuge in is located deep amongst sugarcane fields in the middle of nowhere, with only an odd old couple for company.
Sakshi starts being haunted by 3 mysterious kids and an ominous charred figure called ‘Chhoti Maa’ who seems to be after her unborn child. Will she be able to keep her baby safe?
