Veteran actor-director Amol Palekar has been hospitalized in Pune.
The 77-year-old has appeared in Hindi classics like ‘Gol Maal’, ‘Chitchor’, ‘Rajnigandha’ and more.
According to reports, Amol Palekar has supposedly been admitted to Pune’s Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital. He is reportedly suffering from prolonged illnes.
Confirming the news, Palekar’s wife Sandhya Gokhale told the media that the actor’s condition is now stable and he is said to be recovering.
“There is nothing to worry about Amol Palekar’s health. He is recovering now. And his health is much better than before.”
– Palekar’s wife said.
When she was asked about what he is suffering from, Sandhya ji said –
“This is an old illness. Due to excessive smoking, he was admitted to hospital 10 years ago as well. But his condition is fine.”
On the work front, Amol Palekar was last seen in the Zee5 movie ‘200 Halla Ho’, co-starring Barun Sobti, Rinku Rajguru amongst others.
