Sonali Bendre is all set to make her OTT debut.
Titled The Broken News, the web series will be premiered on Zee5.
Sonali will be seen playing the role of a news anchor in the series. Directed by Vinay Waikul (Aranyak fame), the show also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Indraneil Sengupta, among others, in pivotal roles.
As per the makers, the series reportedly revolves around two rival news channels based in Mumbai – Awaaz Bharati, an independent, ethical news channel, and Josh 24/7 News, which offers sensationalist and invasive journalism. What transpires between the main characters in their quest for news forms the crux of the show.
The Broken News is allegedly the Hindi adaptation of the iconic British series – Press.
