Vijay Deverakonda‘s Bollywood debut movie Liger opened to mixed reviews, slightly inclined to the negative side, from audience and critics alike.
Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the pan-India action-entertainer stars Ananya Panday as the female lead.

Liger, produced by Karan Johar, Puri Jagannadh, and Charmee Kaur, hit theatres on August 25, 2022.
The movie also stars Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy in pivotal roles with a special appearance by boxing legend Mike Tyson.
Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 1:
Despite the negative word of mouth, the movie had a decent opening at the box office due to the great advance booking. The team had done an extensive 1-month-long promotional events across the country.
The official social media handle of Dharma Productions announced that Liger globally collected a total amount of Rs 33.12 crores on its opening day in theatres.
