Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor will soon be seen in a robot rom-com film.
Previously, rumours went rife that the project was on hold due to budget issues. But as per recent reports, the film is back on.
This Dinesh Vijan production will be helmed by debutante director Amit Joshi. Shahid Kapoor will feature in the role of a robotics specialist while Kriti will essay a robot.
It is being rumoured that Shahid has cut down more than half his fees for the rom-com.
“The issue came up due to Shahid Kapoor’s fees. The actor had quoted Rs. 30 cr. as his remuneration. However, now he has slashed his price down to Rs. 14 cr. This in itself has considerably lowered the overall budget,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.
The source further revealed that Shahid might receive a percentage of profits if the film crosses a certain amount at the box office.
Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon will soon be seen with Varun Dhawan in the horror-comedy Bhediya.
