Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is currently busy shooting for Shahrukh Khan’s Dunki.
Now, it is believed that after this, the filmmaker will start shooting for a biopic on Indian cricket legend Lala Amarnath.
Rajkumar Hirani was planning to make this biopic since 2019 with SRK however, she chose the script of Pathaan over this. It is reported, that after the release of Dunki, Hirani will be reviving the biopic and he has also reportedly asked his team of writers to finish the script by the end of this year. The filmmaker is apparently very passionate about making the Lala Amarnath biopic.
A source said, “Lala Amarnath’s biopic is not a typical sports biopic. Hirani will tell his story in his usual entertaining way, beautifully highlighting Lala’s career, his spasmodic brilliance, and his enduring influence on Indian cricket. An A-list young star is expected to star in this film. However, the director will finalize someone only after he is done with Dunki’s shooting.”
The character of Lala Amarnath was also explored in Ranveer Singh’s starrer 83.
