The Intern
The Intern is originally a 2015 comedy drama Hollywood film starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro. In its Bollywood remake, the cast was supposed to be Deepika Padukone and late actor Rishi Kapoor in what would have been their first film together.
Upon news of the 90’s superstar’s demise, Rishi Kapoor is apparently to be replaced. We’re holding on tight for more news on this movie’s making.
Laal Singh Chaddha
Laal Singh Chaddha is an upcoming comedy-drama film. It is directed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao.
This movie is the remake of the 1994 Hollywood movie Forrest Gump that stars Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump. The film is set to release this year.
The Girl on the Train
The Girl on The Train is a mystery-thriller film directed by Ribhu Dasgupta starring Parineeti Chopra in the lead. The release date was set to be the 8th of May this year but has now been postponed due to COVID-19.
The film is a remake of the original 2016 Hollywood film The Girl on the Train that stars Emily Blunt.
Love Aaj Kal
Love Aaj Kal is a 2020 remake of the original 2009 film Love Aaj Kal, both directed by Imtiaz Ali. While the original is a Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan starrer, the new film has cast Saif’s daughter Sara Ali Khan and actor Kartik Aaryan to play the leads.
The movie was released on the 14th of February this year.
Coolie no. 1
Coolie No. 1 is an upcoming David Dhawan comedy film that stars his son Varun Dhawan along side Sara Ali Khan.
The original film was also directed by David Dhawan in the year 1995 Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the lead.
Dil Bechara
Dil Bechara is an upcoming 2020 romance that is the remake of the Hollywood film The Fault in our Stars, a 2014 romantic movie starring Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley.
The Bollywood version has cast Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi to play the lead characters.
Laxmmi Bomb
Laxmmi Bomb is an Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer that is set to release this year. It is directed by Raghava Lawrence. This movie is Raghava’s hindi directorial debut.
The original film is Kanchana, a Tamil horror comedy that was released in 2011 starring Raghava Lawrence and Raai Laxmi. Kanchana has 2 sequels, the last one released in 2019.
Rambo
Rambo is a remake of the Hollywood version with Sylvester Stallone in and as the lead character, Rambo. Hollywood has released a series of Rambo movies, the first being Rambo: First Blood in the year 1982.
The bollywood version is set to release this year on the 2nd of October. The lead is played by Tiger Shroff and the movie is directed by Siddharth Anand.
Jersey
Jersey is a 2020 upcoming sports drama directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri. This film’s cast consists of Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur. The crux of the film revolves around cricket.
The original is a Telugu 2019 film directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.
