Twitter Blaming Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt for Sushant’s suicide is height of idiocy – says Swara Bhaskar

Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, age 34, died by suicide from hanging in his Bandra Home on 14 June 2020. Reportedly, he was suffering from depression. Following his demise – along with condolences, tributes, and conservation about mental illness, the ‘Debate of Nepotism’ has again come alive on social media!

#JusticeForSushantSinghRajput, #BoycottKaranJohar, #BoycottFakeStars were seen to be trending on Twitter. The Twitterati was of the opinion that nepotism and the ‘feeling of being alienated’ had a hand in pushing Sushant to this drastic step!

Veere Di Wedding actress Swara Bhasker took to Twitter to add her two cents about people playing the blame game on Nepotism.

She opined that blaming Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt for the tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput was idiotic and hypocritical.

She further elaborated saying that since Sushant didn’t leave a suicide note, we don’t know the real cause or what he went through.

When it was pointed out that people were calling out the Industry’s ‘hypocrisy and toxicity’, Swara defended her viewpoint by saying holding Karan and Alia responsible for Sushant’s tragedy is not right since everything is speculation and gossip.
