A close friend of Sushant Singh Rajput, filmmaker Sandip Ssingh took to Instagram to unveil the poster of his incomplete dream project with the late actor –Vande Bharatam. He revealed that Sushant was to turn producer for the patriotic film.

In the poster, we can see Sushant’s face in the backdrop imbued with the image of our flag.

Written by Raaj Shaandilya, and starring Sushant Singh Rajput as the lead, Vande Bharatam was supposed to mark the directorial debut of Sandip Ssingh who is known for producing movies like Mary Kom, Aligarh, Sarabjit.

Penning a bittersweet note, Sandip wrote, “You made me a promise. We, the Bihari brothers, will one day rule this industry and be the inspiration/support system for all young dreamers like you and me bhai.”

Mourning Sushant’s loss, he lamented, “I need your belief, that faith you showed, that was my strength. Now, with you gone…I’m lost.”

However, though the project didn’t take off as they had planned due to Sushant’s sudden, tragic demise, Sandip has promised that he will make this film as a tribute to Rajput’s memory! Vande Bharatam will be a ‘symbol of the undying light of Sushant’s soul’.

“I promise you this… I will make this film! And it will be a tribute to the loving memory of SSR who inspired millions and gave them hope that anything is possible! Just dream it and believe it!

Those hours of discussions on this film we dreamed to make together…the film ‘Vande Bharatam’…now all I am left with is your memories and this poster which was our dream starting to come true, this film my brother, will be the symbol of the undying light of your soul.”
