Almost 2 decades since Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein released and living up to it’s name it’s etched in our hearts until now. We still can’t get over how Maddy and Reena fought against all odds and gave us a love story to remember forever.
The movie featured R. Madhavan as Maddy and Dia Mirza as Reena. Their chemistry on-screen managed to capture the audiences hearts and became one of the most loved movies of Bollywood.
According to sources, the makers of the movie have found a script that may be turned into a reprise version of Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, and the lead roles will be played by Dia Mirza and Madhavan just like the original movie.
“The makers toyed with some concepts, on and off, over the years. Only now have they found a script that has appealed to everyone and seems a natural progression to the lives of Maddy and Reena. The script is in the final stage of development.”
During a recent Insta-live with Madhavan, Dia gave us hints of the possible sequel, by saying “We are doing our best to make it happen, but we will only work together when we can give our best.”
The first movie featured Dia Mirza, Saif Ali Khan & R. Madhavan in a love triangle. The beautiful songs, good-looking cast & high on fire chemistry perfromaces made the first installment a BLOCKBUSTER!
It will be interesting to see if they can re-create this magic again after 20 years or not? Only time will tell us that but until then we can’t keep calm, Can You?
