This Couple Donated 50 Beds & Oxygen Cylinders for Covid Patients on their Wedding Day.

Eric and Merlin in Vasai have restored our believe in humanity. This young couple, Eric Lobo (28) and Merlin Tuscano (27) dated for 8 years and finally got married on Saturday, 20th June, 2020.

This couple had planned a huge winter wedding with a guest list of 2000 people but the pandemic changed their plans. Instead of having a starry wedding, they exchanged vows with just 22 guests at the St. Gonsalo Garcia Church at Vasai and right after calling each other husband and wife, these couple headed towards the Satpala Isolation Centre and donated 50 beds, mattresses, pillows and oxygen cylinders.

“Since the beginning of lockdown, we have been working on projects like arranging for trains for migrant workers and community kitchens. We talked to the Revenue Inspector and Sub Division officer of the district about the requirements of the COVID-19 centres and decided to pare down on the money we will spend on the wedding and instead contribute to the covid care centre.”- the couple told ANI.

It was very generous of the couple to cut down on the wedding cost and do some charity as the world suffers from a pandemic.
