Actors who said no to endorsing fairness creams

The renowned fairness cream”Fair and Lovely” has decided to drop “Fair” from its name to stop promoting the myth that only lighter toned skin are beautiful. The brand has gained a lot of name in the past and is one of the most used creams. However, there are several celebrities who took a step forward and turned down the offers of advertising a cream that promoted the concept of fairness and light skin as the ultimate quality of beauty. Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor has been a part of several brand advertisements and was approached to endorse a fairness cream but he turned it down as he believes that promotion of fairness products supports racism.

Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut has always been in the news for her bold believes, and to support her belief she has once rejected an offer to promote fairness cream and the deal was worth 2 crores. Kangana stood strong to her morals and did the correct thing as a public figure.

Sushant Singh Rajput

The late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput refused to endorse a fairness cream because he did not want to spread any wrong messages as a responsible actor. The offer he rejected was worth 15 crores.

Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma had declared that she would never promote a fairness product nor would she support products that propagate racism and sexism.

Abhay Deol

Abhay Deol has turned down endorsement offers for fairness products and he does not step back from criticizing the actors that are in support of promoting fairness.

Kalki Koechlin

Kalki Koechlin is one of the actresses that is completely against the notion of fairness as beauty and believes that all the skins should be celebrated. She has rejected offers to advertise fairness products and has also said that ” I would love to have a product that makes me darker”.
