Directed and written by Anu Menon, Shakuntala Devi is a biopic of the life of the “human computer” or the mathematical wizard, Shakuntala Devi. The film has cast Vidya Balan to play the lead and it is produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions and Abundantia Entertainment.
On the 2nd of July, Amazon Prime Video announced the release date of the film which is the 31st of July with a fun video asking the audience to guess out several math problems that reveal the date.

Who is Shakuntala Devi?
Shakuntala Devi was a writer by profession but had the world shocked with her mathematical skills. She was popularly known as the human computer. Shakuntala Devi was also mentioned in Guinness Book of World Records for multiplying two thirteen digit numbers in just twenty-eight seconds which had a twenty-six digit answer.
Shakuntala Devi had also gone on world tours to showcase her unique talent of the arithmetic calculation. As an author, she had also written a number of books such as, Astrology for You, Mathability: Awaken the Math Genius in Your Child, The World of Homosexuals, and more.
