Sanjay Leela Bhansali did not drop Sushant from his movies, gives details from his police interrogation

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was called in for questioning at the Bandra police station with regards to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Bhansali’s statement was recorded after a three-hour-long thorough questioning. he had gone along with his legal team and they were at the station from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

As per a Mid-Day report, the investigating team prepared a set of twenty questions to ask the director. Bhansali was apparently asked about his relationship with Sushant to which he replied that the two had met for a brief time in the year 2016 post which they never kept in touch.

After the interrogation at Bandra, Sanjay was asked to head to the Santacruz police station to be questioned by Zonal DCP Abhishek Trimukhe who had 35-40 questions in store.

The accusation was that Sushant went into depression after being dropped out of Ramleela and Bajirao Mastani. However, Bhansali had something else to say. The director had approached Sushant for two big projects. He confessed that Sushant was busy shooting his film Pani, under Yash Raj Films, and so refused to be a part of Sanjay’s projects.

The director wanted his full attention for two of his big films but as Rajput was busy and refused to work, Bhansali did not ask him again.” said a police officer.
