In regards to the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case, the Mumbai Police is exploring all angles and taking statements from those concerned. So far, 34 people have been questioned, the most recent being Sanjay Leela Bhansali. And this is what he revealed!

In his statement which was recorded for over 3 hours at the Bandra Police station, Sanjay Leela Bhansali stated that he had offered 4 films to Sushant Singh Rajput, but the late actor had backed out of 3 projects due to unavailability of dates. The 4th project also didn’t pan out.
Till 2015, Sushant Singh Rajput was under a 3-film contract with Yash Raj Films – ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ (2013) and ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’ (2015). The 3rd film ‘Paani’ with Shekhar Kapur got shelved.
Bhansali reportedly told the police that he had offered Rajput ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela’ (2013), ‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015) and ‘Padmaavat’ (2018)!

SLB revealed that he had offered Sushant Singh Rajput the lead roles in ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ which eventually ended up being essayed by Ranveer Singh. Both these films went on to become iconic blockbusters!
‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela’ collected 220 crores at the box office while ‘Bajirao Mastani’ boasted a box office collection of 356 crores.
Can you imagine how different it would have been to see Sushant in these roles?
Let us know in the comments what you think.
he is no longer there to confirm or not if it is true! it’s easy to say what you want when the person cannot defend themselves.
I think this is just pandering. A director reserves the right to cast whoever he wants in his movies and none of us have the right to question his decision. I hate the fact that we are using Sushant’s death as an excuse to propagate people issues with the inner workings of Bollywood. If the fans really cared about Sushant as much as they claim they would have watched his films and given him this much love and made him even more bankable as a leading man and the directors would have cast him in more films. Raj Kumar Rao, Ayushman Khurrana are good examples of this. Sushant was amazing too, people should stop making him out to be a martyr or a victim, they are doing a huge disservice to him and the amazing body of work he has done in short time in the industry.
