‘Thappad’ and ‘Mulk’ director Anubhav Sinha tweets his resignation from Bollywood

With the ongoing debate on who’s an insider VS who’s an outsider, director Anubhav Sinha has made his ‘Not Bollywood’ stand very clear.

His infamous movies Thappad and Mulk have gotten big thumbs up but it looks like Sinha wants to do nothing with Bollywood anymore post the nepotism dilemma.

Screaming in caps, Anubhav clearly states in his tweet that he is done with B-Town and all the drama that follows around it.

Director Sudhir Mishra also tweeted to his followers asking the audience, ‘What is Bollywood?’ In the tweet he says that his prime reason for joining the cinema was because his inspiration lied in the hands of Satyajit Ray, Raj Kapoor, Guru Dutt, Ritwick Ghatak, Bimal Roy, Mrinal Sen, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, KAsif, Vijay Anand, Javed Akhtar, Tapan Sinha, Gulzar, Shekhar Kapur, Ketan Mehta and more ssuch legends.

Anubhav Sinha retweeted Sudhir Mishra’s quote with a response of his own.

Looks like the planning is on as Sudhir Mishra himself posted a tweet saying ‘leave Bollywood, let’s go towards Indian cinema’. To this, Anubhav Sinha replied saying “Je beat. Inko sambhaalne do Bollywood.”

Another director from the director’s paradise, Hansal Mehta, has shown support towards Anuhav and Sudhir’s mission- Exit Bollywood.
