In the 90’s, Raveena and Akshay were the big thing in Bollywood! Their juicy chemistry in ‘Tip tip barsa paani,’ blossomed into love while shooting for Mohra in 1994. Rumours also said that they had secretly tied the knot but nothing worked out.
After dating each other for almost 3 years, Raveena broke up with Akshay because of his disloyal behaviour. In an interview in 1999, Raveena revealed that Akshay had promised to marry her the day she would finish her last shoot. She even admitted to secretly being engaged to Akshay in a temple.
She revealed that while Akshay was engaged to her, he also got engaged to two other girls. According to her, Akshay kept their engagement a secret as he was worried of losing his female fans and thought it could ruin his career.
