Priyanka Chopra shares Miss India Video saying she never expected to win: “I was supposed to go back and give board exams”

Our very own Peecee has completed 20 years in the entertainment industry and she recently took a trip down the memory lane, remembering her journey in the industry so far.

Priyanka recently took to her Instagram and shared a video with scenes from her Miss India Pageant 2000. She says “Femina Miss India, 2000. Alright guys, we’re doing this! I’m watching footage from my Miss India pageant in 2000! This is where it all began… If you’ve never seen these before, you are in for quite a treat. #20in2020 @missindiaorg (sic).”

Priyanka kept everyone entertained throughout the video. At the beginning of the video she jokingly says “I turned 20 in 2020. I mean I wish. 20 years in the entertainment business you guys, and it all started with the Femina Miss India pageant in 2000.” This comment was later followed by her commenting on the dress she wore on the ramp, she went on to say “What am I wearing? What is this crown of thorns over my head? Did I think I was Jesus?”

Priyanka goes on to talk of a common question that she was asked on the stage “If you were God in the Garden of Eden, who would you punish for eternal sin? Adam, Eve or Satan?” Priyanka’s reply to this was heart winning, she said  “I would punish Satan the serpent because I believe that evil is instigated not created. Eve thought Satan was right. She believed him. Let us get a moral from this. To decipher between good and bad without being biased.”

Priyanka revealed that she never expected to win the crown and had her tickets booked to go back home for the board exams. She continued  “It’s been 20 years and I haven’t looked back, up until now. This is where everything started.”
