Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh declines transfer of Sushant’s case to CBI

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away by suicide on the 14th of June and ever since allegations of the case actually being a murder surfaced, celebrities, friends and family of the late actor have requested for the transfer of the case from the Mumbai Police to the CBI.

However, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has said that the CBI probe will not be conducted.

According to a Tweet by ANI, the Home Minister states, “Mumbai police are investigating the case. It will not be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).”

Anil Deshmukh’s statement on not conducting a CBI probe was made a day after Sushant’s father KK Singh lodged a complaint by filing an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant’s girlfriend for of abetment to suicide, exploiting the actor financially, besides other offences.

Rhea Chakraborty, on Wednesday, filed a petition that supported the transfer of Sushant’s case to Mumbai. The actress herself demanded a CBI probe into the matter in an open post on Instagram.
