Mumbai Police Counters Sushant’s Family’s Whatsapp Chats

Earlier, Sushant Singh Rajput’s family lawyer Vikas Singh had stated that the Mumbai Police was warned on February 25 2020, that Sushant’s life was in danger.

As per DNA report, Sushant’s father had released a statement on Monday which said – “I had told the Mumbai police in February that my son Sushant faced a threat to his life but it did nothing. When my son died on June 14, I requested them to take action against named persons. But nothing came of it even after 40 days. Left with no other option, I lodged a case at a police station here in Patna.”

The family also released screenshots of the Whatsapp chat sent to Mumbai Police by Sushant’s brother-in-law IPS OP Singh. These chats revealed alleged details like Rhea Chakraborty and her family taking Sushant to a resort near the airport and keeping him there for months, managing him and his business affairs, firing his loyal team and replacing with own ‘stooges’.

However, Mumbai Police retaliated with a press release of their own, citing that no written complaint had been addressed to Bandra Police Station on that date.

While OP Singh had sent Whatsapp messages to the then DCP Zone 9 regarding this matter, the DCP had requested him that a written complaint was mandatory for any enquiry or action. However, Singh wanted it to be resolved informally, to which the then DCP Zone 9 clearly told him that it was not possible.
