Sooraj Pancholi on Jiah Khan, Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput

Actor Sooraj Pancholi who made his debut opposite Athiya Shetty in the film Hero, has been embroiled in controversy since 2013, having been booked for abetment of suicide in Jiah Khan’s suicide case.

In an interview with India Today, the actor opened up about the work problems he’s been having because of his connection to Jiah Khan case, saying that very few people wanted to work or be associated with him.

Sooraj said – “I wanted to be an actor and there are, let me say this, there are very few people who want to be associated with me or want to work with me only because of my case. And I feel it is very unfair, justice delayed is justice not granted.”

Commenting that it’s unfair and justice delayed is justice not granted, Sooraj Pancholi said that he has been going to court for 8 years but the case keeps being delayed because Jiah Kha’s mother, Rabia Khan, refuses to show up in court.

Sooraj Pancholi’s name had also been linked in Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian’s cases. Pancholi, however, had quashed reports of having any party on June 13 or any connection with the Sushant and Disha Salian cases.

Pancholi also said that his mother was worried about his name being brought up in Sushant and Disha’s cases, and thought that he would harm himself.

“My mother thinks that I’m going to harm myself. And she has spoken to me a couple of times. Even after Sushant’s death, she spoke to me saying, ‘Sooraj, whatever it is, if there’s anything in your heart please come and talk to us. Don’t be quiet.’ I’m not a very talkative person when it comes to my problems. I don’t discuss with my family because I know they’re stressed because of me.”

Stating that he didn’t know whether Sushant committed suicide or not, he further elaborated that people would definitely drive him(Sooraj) to commit suicide.

“I have done everything possible to get my first film. So, this is my passion and I’m not going to give up that easy. And these people who are talking about me should have some sense and should have some kind of humanity. Because yeh fair nahi hai. They are destroying my life. I don’t know whether Sushant committed suicide or not. I don’t know. But these people will definitely drive me to commit suicide. I would like to say that.” 

Recently, he had slammed media reports that suggested he knew Disha and urged the media to stop harassing and dragging him into the case.
