Recently, a drug angle emerged in SSR Case as Rhea Chakraborty’s chats were shared by the ED with CBI and Narcotics Control Bureau. NCB will also be stepping in to investigate now.
Meanwhile, as per India Today, new Whatsapp Chat between Rhea Chakraborty and SSR’s business manager Shruti Modi have surfaced, which suggest that Rhea was helping Sushant quit his marijuana addiction.
The chat, which is from January 2020 indicates that Rhea was trying to get Sushant quit marijuana and take medicines.
The India Today report further states that in the conversation between Rhea Chakraborty and Shruti Modi, an incident where Sushant cried during a meeting and asked his friend Sidhu to leave is brought up.
The message from a contact saved as Shruti 2 reads- “In the morning, he was crying. He told Sidhu to go back home. He is seeking help and treatment today. Let’s get Kersi (Psychiatrist Kersi Chavda). We all have been taking good care of him and giving him all medicines on time etc and he is still not healing. He has to completely stop weed and he said that he quit it since yesterday.”
“He has gone off to sleep. I’m leaving for the day. Morning 11 Sahil has to go to Aarogya Nidhi na” – the message reads further.
Aarogyanidhi is a hospital in western suburbs of Mumbai and Sahil was the bodyguard working for Sushant. Rhea responded with ‘Yes’ to the message sent by Shruti.
As per India Today, this chat matches Sushant’s cook Neeraj Singh’s statements. Earlier, Neeraj allegedly claimed that Sushant would smoke marijuana. In his statement to Mumbai Police, Neeraj Singh, allegedly said that a couple of days before the actor’s death, he had rolled some marijuana cigarettes for Sushant. When Neeraj checked the box on June 14, after the actor’s death, he said that he found it empty.
“Sushant sir would party once or twice every week with Anandi, Rhea, and Ayush at home. He would consume liquor and Marijuana cigarettes during those parties. Samuel Jacob would roll the joints for Sushant sir. Sometimes I would roll the joints for him. Before Sushant sir committed suicide, I rolled the marijuana cigarettes for him for three days which were kept in a cigarette case in a cupboard near staircase. After Sushant sir’s suicide, I saw that the marijuana cigarettes box was empty.”
Jaya Saha Summoned by ED
Meanwhile, after the drug angle surfaced in the case, Rhea Chakraborty’s talent manager Jaya Saha has been summoned by Enforcement Directorate!
Jaya had reportedly messaged Rhea on the morning of November 25 2019, saying – “Use 4 drops in coffee, tea or water and let him sip it. Give it 30-40 minutes for it to kick in.”
As per News18 report, Jaya Saha was consultant at KWAN Entertainment & Marketing Solutions. She had previously been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in the SSR Case.
Rhea Reportedly Gave CBD Oil To SSR
The latest report in Times Now says that Rhea reportedly gave CBD Oil (Cannabidiol oil) to SSR.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend Ankit Acharya told Times Now that he never saw the late actor taking drugs. “I have never seen Sushant taking drugs when I was with him. He was very much concerned about his health,” Ankit was quoted.
