The Narcotics Control Bureau who’s probing the drug angle in the SSR case, carried out the raid of Rhea Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda’s houses, early Friday morning.
The arrested drug peddlers by NCB had previously named Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda. Teams of officers arrived at the two locations and began search as provided under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
An officer associated with the raids added, “It’s just a procedural matter. That is what we are following. It is being done at Rhea’s and Samuel Miranda’s house.”
Since Samuel and Showik’s names have cropped up during interrogation of the arrested peddlers, these raids will aim to recover anything related to Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
After a two-hour search of his Mumbai residence, Samuel Miranda (SSR’s former housekeeping manager) was detained by the NCB in connection with its probe into the drug angle of the SSR case. He was detained under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
Meanwhile, after undertaking house search of the Chakraborty’s residence, Showik Chakraborty too was detained and summoned to join investigation by NCB.
