Akshay Kumar began the shooting of his upcoming movie Bellbottom in Scotland from August 21st accompanied by Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi, and Vaani Kapoor. This is the first venture outside India since the coronavirus pandemic hit the country.
BellBottom is an espionage thriller inspired by a real event. Akshay plays the role of a spy who races against time to save the 212 Indians on-board who have been taken, hostage.
Producer of the film, Jackky Bhagnani says “Our film is an espionage thriller revolving around a hijack. We’ll be shooting at multiple real locations across Scotland, including the airport, which is a vintage structure and blends well with the setting of our film.”
He continues to add “This shoot is special because it’s been a while since we were on a film set. It’s a relief to be back in action. We have a COVID officer on the set all the time and sanitization, masks, and other SOPs are being followed strictly.”
The team of Bellbottom flew to Glasgow on August 6th and followed the 14 day quarantine period as well.
