Kangana Hits Back at Jaya Bachchan’s Thali Comment; Swara REACTS

It seems like Kangana Ranaut’s Twitter War with Swara Bhaskar continues.

Earlier, Kangana Ranaut had retaliated to the ‘thali comment’ made in Jaya Bachchan’s Parliamentary speech. Swara Bhasker later called her rebuttal ‘sickening’.

Kangana had tweeted in Hindi – “Which thali has Jaya ji and her industry given? Got got one thali which had a two-minute role, item numbers and one romantic scene, that too after sleeping with the hero. I taught feminism to this industry, decorated the thali with patriotic and female-centric films. This is my own thali, not yours Jaya ji.”

Taking offence to Kangana’s tweet, Swara Bhasker reacted saying that her comments were sickening and shameful.

Shameful comment! बस करो please. अपने ज़हन की गंदगी ख़ुद तक सीमित रखो, गाली देनी है तो मुझे दो.. मैं तुम्हारी बकवासें ख़ुशी ख़ुशी सुनूँगी और यह कीचड़ कुश्ती लड़ूँगी तुम्हारे साथ। बड़ों की इज़्ज़त भारतीय संस्कृति का पहला सबक़ है- और तुम तो कथित राष्ट्रवादी हो। https://t.co/RC8WUilBbD

Swara wrote – “Sickening Kangana. Shameful comment! Stop it, please. Keep the filth of your mind limited to yourself. If you want to abuse someone, then abuse me. I will happily listen to your rubbish and wrestle in the mud with you. Respecting one’s elders is the first lesson in Indian culture, and you say you are a nationalist.”

Previously, in her Parliament Speech, Jaya Bachchan had defended the film industry – “People in the entertainment industry are being flogged by social media. People who made their names in the industry have called it a gutter. I completely disagree. I hope that the government tells such people not to use this kind of language. Jis thali mein khate hai usme chhed karte hai. Galat baat hai (they bite the hand that feeds, it’s wrong).”

Celebs like Anubhav Sinha, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu and Richa Chadda too had supported Jaya Bachchan’s speech.

Meanwhile, as per NDTV report, after her speech, security has been increased at Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s home. Mumbai Police has provided the additional security outside Jalsa, the Bachchans’ iconic bungalow in Juhu. The police called it a precautionary measure amid vicious trolling of Jaya Bachchan on social media after her speech.
