NCB, who’s investigating the drug angle in SSR case, will be issuing summons to actresses Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh as well as designer Simone Khambhatta.
As per HT report, NCB’s deputy director KPS Malhotra said, “Sara, Rakul, and Simone will be summoned this week.”
The report further stated that three of them are being summoned under Section 67 of The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, after they were named by Rhea Chakraborty while she was being interrogated between September 6 and September 9 before being arrested.
As reported by Hindustan Times, Malhotra confirmed that Chakraborty had named the three in her statement, however, the context in which their names were taken is not clear.
“Their roles can’t be given right now,” Malhotra said.
It is to be noted that Rhea Chakraborty who’s currently in judicial custody in Byculla Jail had retracted her statements, saying she was ‘coerced into incriminating confessions’.
